My Somatic Therapy Approach
Every person has a unique story, and each healing process is different. My somatic approach blends traditional talk therapy with somatic modalities that support both the mind and body.
I draw from Somatic Experiencing and my yoga teaching background and experience doing yoga for 25 years. When needed, I also integrate Art Therapy and mindfulness practices. These therapeutic approaches help address the effects of trauma, emotional distress, and chronic stress in a safe and supportive way.
In sessions, we slow down, notice bodily sensations, and use breathwork to calm the nervous system. This builds body awareness and creates space for healing unresolved trauma, childhood trauma, and traumatic experiences.
I believe lasting change comes from connecting with yourself in a deeper way. My role is to guide, listen, and walk beside you as you explore new ways of being.
